At Fairy Springs Early Learning Centre, Teina, our Infant and Toddlers Room, is a special space for tamariki aged 0–2.5 years, where their journey begins with care, love, and gentle discovery. Inspired by the meaning of teina – the younger sibling who is nurtured, guided, and supported within the collective – this space honours the importance of connection, belonging, and responsive care. Here, our youngest tamariki are held with aroha as they explore the world around them, building confidence, curiosity, and a strong foundation for their learning journey.

Our passionate kaiako are experts in creating a warm, safe, and enriching environment tailored to the unique needs of our youngest learners. From those first smiles and steps to early interactions with peers, every moment is guided by care and intention. Here, your tamaiti is encouraged to explore, grow, and develop at their own pace, supported by strong relationships with our kaiako and their whānau.

The Teina room is where your baby begins their journey, full of discovery, curiosity, and wonder, before transitioning to our Tuakana – preschool side for tamariki aged 2.5 to 6 years.
